Safe use: always place the scented sticks on a suitable flame-proof base, as unlike sticks that do not contain a bamboo stick, they develop a higher temperature. Never place them next to flammable objects. During the smoldering period, they should be supervised and out of the reach of children.
Testing for hypersensitivity: persons prone to allergies should be tested for possible allergies by first lighting a scented stick for about 5 minutes. Always use incense to which you are not allergic.
