Concerts by the Vedun Ensemble are extraordinary experiences. They are a dance of unusual sounds and rhythms, harmonies, energies, feelings, and colors. A mirror of the present moment. Either individually or together with the ensemble, Mirit has initiated over 30 creative revolutions across four decades in the fields of art (music), science, pedagogy, and the exploration and teaching of life and spiritual wisdom. In their essence, these revolutions represent an evolution, as they significantly contribute to expanding human awareness and developing the aforementioned disciplines. All of this reflects in the music of the Vedun Ensemble, which, modeled after ancient wisdom, also functions as a powerful sound-energy therapy. Among the most crucial r-evolutions are the discovery, revival, archival reconstruction, and preservation of the sonic and spiritual roots of Slovenian heritage, as well as the long-forgotten "pre-classical" instruments and songs of the world, along with ancient musical techniques and practices. The Vedun Ensemble (formerly Trutamora Slovenica and Truta) is the first of its kind in Slovenia and remains unique on a global scale.

Their performances represent a quest for wholeness, perfection, harmony, consonance, and deep internalization; a celebration of diversity and similarity within the historical memory of past cultures and musical practices. The abundance of the transcendental in their sonic expression elevates both performers and listeners, going far beyond conventional musical endeavors.

A seemingly ordinary concert becomes an expansive journey. During concerts and workshops, the musicians of the Vedun Ensemble weave a never-to-be-repeated, spontaneously channeled soundscape using numerous ancient, traditional, forgotten, or rare instruments (up to 50), along with sacred and secular songs from various historical eras, social strata, cultures, and nations of the world. They revive songs with legendary, fairy-tale, mythological, ritual, and romantic themes, as well as ballads and dances. This global sonic tapestry is consistently enriched with gems from the Slovenian musical tradition, allowing listeners to connect with their identity, origins, and place within the diverse mosaic of the whole. In the sound images of the world. In the voices of the Earth.

Acting as sound therapists and mediums for audible and inaudible (yet transcendentally perceptible) frequency sound waves, the musicians perform in a semi-trance state. Centuries ago, this quality was highly prized in both wandering minstrels and court musicians, who mostly functioned as healers of human souls and bodies. The Vedun Ensemble reintroduces forgotten sound-energy practices to the concert stage to harmonize imbalances within spaces and people, restoring music's ancient priestly and shamanic dimensions, traditional authenticity, structuring power, efficiency, and depth. Every single minute of performance requires years of Mirit's ethnomusicological fieldwork, archival research, and numerous travels to different global cultures, alongside endless hours of collective sonic exploration. Concerts by the Vedun Ensemble remain extraordinary experiences—a dance of unusual sounds, rhythms, energies, feelings, and colors. A mirror of the present moment. Today, the Vedun Ensemble stands as a strong counterweight to the increasingly fashionable distortion of centuries-old traditional folk heritage, as well as to empty, purely technical virtuosity.
