What Is Green Royal Hojari Frankincense from Oman?

Boswellia sacra from Oman is considered the purest, most sought-after, and most expensive type of frankincense in the world. This treasured resin grows in the Dhofar region of Oman. Although there are several harvesting areas, the highest quality comes from the Qara Mountains (in the Howjar region), where the climate is ideal—varying altitude, minimal rainfall, and abundant sunlight. This is where most premium greenish Al-Hojari frankincense originates. The green-tinted Royal Al-Hojari is at the very top of the quality scale. This variety is rare and represents only 3–5% of the total harvest.
