About the Scent of Myrrh

Its scent is balsamically soft, earthy, and warm with depth.

Effects of Myrrh

In ancient times, myrrh was one of the most important and valuable incenses alongside olibanum (frankincense). Myrrh incense is said to be one of the gifts presented to Jesus at his birth by the three wise men. In various ancient cultures, myrrh symbolized the womb of the earth and feminine sensuality. There is something deep and mystical about the scent of myrrh. It has the power to restore harmony to the mind, body, and soul. It sharpens the eye for the essential and creates a connection with subtle worlds.

  • destroys airborne bacteria,
  • clears the energy in the space,
  • protects against negative energies,
  • raises the vibration during meditation.

How to Use

Used on an incense charcoal briquette or a mesh burner. Warning: Never leave smoldering incense unattended.

Incenses it Blends Well With

Myrrh is most often mixed with Frankincense resin. It also blends well with copal, benzoin, patchouli, pine, rose, rosemary, sandalwood, and vetiver.
