Rudraksha seeds are the seeds of an evergreen and fast-growing tree that reaches a height of 10 to 30 meters. Its habitat ranges from the Gangetic plains to the foothills of the Himalayas.

Spiritual significance The word Rudraksha originates from Sanskrit and is composed of two words - Rudra (Lord Shiva) and aksha (eye). Legend has it that after many years of meditation, Shiva opened his eyes one day to gaze upon the earth. It is said that due to his compassion, some of his tears fell to the earth, and from them, the Rudraksha tree grew. Rudraksha seeds are attributed with many mystical and divine properties, offering protection to those who wear them. The smaller the Rudraksha seed, the more highly valued it is. Additionally, the number of "mukhis" or faces each seed has is significant. The term "mukhi" in Sanskrit means face or form, referring to the number of faces or protrusions on each seed. Each face or mukhi has its own specific spiritual qualities and energy. The rarest seed has one face, while the most common ones have five faces, symbolizing the five elements. Furthermore, it strengthens the power of the mind and boosts self-confidence. Rudraksha with five faces can assist those seeking to meditate and grow spiritually.

Devotees of Shiva typically wear Rudraksha malas, but anyone can wear them - as a mala or necklace - and experience their beneficial effects. As a meditation tool, it can contribute to greater inner peace and focus.

Before sleeping, it is placed on an altar or a special place and handled with respect.
